Hen and Chicks Farmhouse Tablescape

I found this sweet ceramic bowl with a hen and  her baby chicks last summer.    I used it around the kitchen for a while and eventually put in on top of the refrigerator to safely store it until I wanted to use it again.

I have a nice big window with a southern exposure in my kitchen that is perfect for a container herb garden.

Chicken Wire Tiered Stand

Tiered stands are one of my go to's when I am creating a vignette.     I have a white enamel tiered stand and a glass tiered stand......you can't have too many.     Today,    I am using a white chicken wire tiered stand to add some farmhouse charm to a vignette I am creating on the kitchen counter.

White Enamel Flower Vases

I was checking out the clearance shelves at Kirkland's yesterday and spotted these white enamel flower vases in a metal holder.

It took me all day,   but I have the front porch ready for spring.      Since the front porch is so big,    you better grab a cup of coffee and sit down.....this post is a long one!

Spring Cleaning & a New Car

Everything gets so dirty over the winter,    doesn't it!
H has been doing some spring cleaning in the yard and on the porch.    I took the first photo's you'll see last week.    Then took some more this morning,   so you will see a noticeable difference in the blossoms/leaves on the pear tree's when you compare last weeks with today's photo's.
He removed all the farm table chairs and put them on the drive to give them a good "hosing down"

Week End Treasure Hunt

I haven't done a week end treasure hunt post in forever!
Truth is,    there hasn't been very many yard sales to go to for several months.      I saw that Amarillo Texas had several yard sales,  so we took a day trip over there to do a little shopping,   antiquing,   and of course have a yummy lunch.    Amarillo is about an hour and a half drive from where we live so it's an easy day trip.
If you look back on the kitchen counter     (behind the island)  you can see a glimpse of the goat and pig that I found while we were out..

Spring Banner

I designed a "one of a kind" spring banner by marrying unique lettering with a pretty pennant banner     It was such an easy project,     I just printed the letters and pennants from my  Pinterest board.    Then I glued the letters to the pennants and tied it all together with some fabric scraps that I had on hand.......easy peasy!

Flower Cart Bicycle

I've had this flower cart bicycle  more than 15 years and I still love it today as much as I did the day I bought it.

I found it in Amarillo Texas at a big antique mall on 6th street..... which is the old Route 66.     There are lots of antique shops on 6th street and is a must to add to your bucket list!

Easter Tablescape

Easter is just a few days away and I wanted to share my last "practice" tablescape.     I like to create several tablescapes over the weeks before Easter and then decide which one I really loved and use it for Easter Sunday.

He Is Risen Banner

I have been on the hunt for a He Is Risen banner that fit my style of decorating.    After weeks and weeks of searching,   I decided the only way to achieve my goal was to  make my own.
